Mark your Calendars for the Texas Antiques Week Fair!

8,000 copies of ‘Heart of a Texan Shopper’ will be distributed in the Round Top/Warrenton areas!

Twice a year Round Top, Texas (population 77) is host to one of the nation’s largest antique events. Show dates for the Spring 2012 Texas Antiques Week Fair varies between March 23rd and April 8th. The fair hosts approximately 5,000 dealers at one of the country’s premiere antiquing events. Serious collectors, first-time shoppers and everyone in between can shop for one-of-a-kind antiques (and other unique items) ranging from country to traditional; rustic to contemporary.  Mingle with antique insiders, decorators and top designers.

The show covers 20 plus miles in the Round Top, Texas area. The show started in 1967 with 22 dealers at the Round Top Rifle Hall.  The Original Round Top Antiques Fair is still the first full weekend in April and October. Because of its success, many other shows open prior to it and now include the towns in a 10-mile radius of Round Top.

The collection of shows is so popular that some people often refer to it simply as “Round Top”, after the town and show that started it all. Many shows start almost ten days prior to the Original Round Top Antiques Fair for what is now called “Preview Weekend”, but all shows end by the final Sunday.

The locations for the shows are as varied as the dealers exhibiting. Some are in the dance halls, some under football field-size tents, and still others fill fields, but all have treasures. Even the most dedicated shopper cannot possibly see everything in one day, as there is so much to see and more arriving daily. Most of the shows are north and south of Round Top along Highway 237. Some shows are more controlled than others with exact opening and closing times. Others open when the sun rises and close when the sun sets.

Check the “Texas Antiques Week” section of our publication (located on the home page) in March, April, August, and September for more information!
