Founded in 1997 we are celebrating our 20th Anniversary in Amarillo, TX. We are located on Historic Route 66 (6th Ave. known as 6th Street) in a 1920’s home. Our mother, Mildred Carroll opened the shop in 1997 and named it after her granddaughter Ivy who had passed away in 1996, and for her love of Texas: Texas Ivy Antiques. Following her death in 2004 her daughters Linda Kelley & Dora Meroney have kept the shop open.
We are situated next to Generation Next Church and across from The Handle Bar & Grill on the south side of historic Route 66/6th Ave in a cute 1920’s one story home. We have an eye catching yellow fence & archway with a large world famous photo op Texas 66 shield on the front of the house.
Items We Sell
Route 66 Man of Steel items made in Amarillo TX., Mother Road Natural Soaps, garden items & seasonal items.
About The Owners
Interests in antiques
Our mother loved antique glassware & we grew up with family heirlooms. We have expanded to fill this cute two bedroom full to the rim and created Mama’s Garden for our outdoor items.
Linda is a collector of USA patriotic related items of all kinds. Dora collects snowmen, Santas and angels as well as Route 66.
Other Interesting Stories
We believe we have a friendly ghost. Customers have felt the presences and we often arrive to the light in the bathroom being turned on.
